The island of Samos belongs to the N.E. Aegean Islands cluster, is situated at the Aegean Sea and is located at a very close distance to the Turkish coastline. The island of Samos covers an area of 476 sq. km., has a coastline of 159 km and has approximately 42.000 inhabitants.
