Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens invites guests to embark on a whimsical adventure with its new display, “All Aboard for Holiday Bells and Whistles” on view through January 3, 2026. Brought to life by renowned designer Ed Libby and Bellagio’s talented Horticulture team, the Conservatory transforms into a dazzling train-inspired wonderland to celebrate the timeless joy of coming home for the holidays. Adding to the experience, the Peppermint Express returns with treats baked by Bellagio’s pastry chefs, while The Garden Table makes its holiday debut, offering guests an exclusive dining experience.

“When designing this display, our goal was to capture the twinkle, nostalgia and pure enchantment that make this special time of year so extraordinary,” said Libby. “This year’s exhibit invites guests on a heartwarming journey that celebrates the magic of travel, the warmth of connection and the breathtaking beauty of the holidays.”

West Bed
At the heart of the West Bed, a Swarovski star crowns a majestic tree dressed in thousands of miniature LED lights and ornaments. Beneath it, the Peppermint Express miniature train chugs merrily around the tree trunk, complete with a live-feed camera that allows guests to watch its journey in real time. To the left, a festive train overflows with beautifully wrapped gifts as busy elves hurry to deliver toys to good boys and girls. On the right, a gingerbread house adorned with ruby-red hearts and snow-like icing serves as the home to The Garden Table, making its holiday debut. This one-of-a-kind dining experience, tucked within the exhibit, features brunch by Sadelle’s and dinner by MICHAEL MINA Bellagio.

North Bed

The North Bed bursts with the sound and spirit of the season as oversized brass instruments, elegant bells and grand red-and-green drums set a joyful rhythm above a glistening pond fed by gentle fountains. A gilded storybook invites guests into a world of music, memories and holiday spirit, while nearby LED screens come alive with displays of a holiday train departing the snowy North Pole and traveling through festive MGM Resorts destinations before arriving at Bellagio. The sensory journey continues as delightful holiday music and a seasonal fragrance with notes of orange and warm spices fill the air. Bellagio’s bespoke “Bella” holiday candle is available for guests to purchase at the Giardini Store.

East Bed
New to the East Bed, The Bellagio Express, inspired by traditional train ornaments, is conducted by Elvie the Elf as the locomotive carries larger-than-life ornaments and gifts. Guests can walk through the train itself, following a whimsical, walkable path that winds through the display for an up-close experience. Billowing clouds of baby’s breath rise from the train’s smokestack and fill the air among red and white crystal snowflakes while decorative trees and vibrant poinsettias grace the bed beneath

South Bed

Guests are greeted by an impressive nutcracker standing proudly at the center of the South Bed, his hat crowned with a golden Bellagio “B.” Surrounding him, four rotating toy soldiers march to the drumbeats of the season, bringing the bed to life with a delightful sense of movement. On the right, Billy the Elf rides a charming white rocking horse that sways gently back and forth. Beneath the twinkle of magnificent bells, shimmering ornaments and beautifully wrapped presents complete the gleeful scene.

The Garden Table

For the first time, guests can experience The Garden Table within the Conservatory’s holiday display. Set inside a charming gingerbread house, the table immerses visitors in the heart of the Conservatory’s festive wonderland, with brunch service from Sadelle’s at $145 per person and dinner from MICHAEL MINA Bellagio at $195 per person.

Reservations are required. To book and find more information, call 702.693.7075 or go online.

Peppermint Express
The Peppermint Express is back, offering holiday-inspired treats crafted by the Bellagio Pastry Team. Assorted sweets and beverages are available for purchase in the Conservatory alcove behind the South Bed, across from the OMEGA Boutique, from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily. Menu items include holiday cookies, peppermint meringue, chocolate candies, holiday nougat, popcorn, drip coffee and hot chocolate.

Sustainability at the Conservatory
Water used in Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens comes from on-site underground wells that use rain and recycled water from the resort, avoiding the use of municipal potable water. The water in the Conservatory is also recycled throughout the exhibit and reused at the resort. Bellagio’s water conservation efforts are part of MGM Resorts International’s overall sustainability commitment.

At the conclusion of each display, plants and botanical material without remaining viable life are separated for collection by a local composting facility. The organic waste is made into compost products to help improve the environment. This method of recycling keeps thousands of pounds of waste out of local landfills and turns it into something that improves the region’s soil, air and water quality.

This September and October, outdoor lovers and party seekers alike are invited to enjoy the ultimate refreshing day on the water with Lake Mead Mohave Adventures’ (LMMA) new Party Boat Experience during “Secret Season.” Promising the perfect way to elevate any Las Vegas getaway, LMMA offers round-trip shuttle service from the Las Vegas Strip to nearby Callville Bay Marina as well as an all-day pontoon boat rental for up to 12 guests.

Each patio pontoon comes equipped with a spacious top-level sun deck and waterslide—guaranteeing sun-soaked fun throughout the day. A barbecue grill and wet bar makes mealtime satisfying and easy, while an accessible bathroom with running hot water and shower help keep guests comfortable. The excitement doesn’t end there – guests can also add a personal watercraft or small boat rental to their experience to up the ante.

For added convenience, guests can also order lunch from LMMA for an additional cost. The cookout menu, available for $36 per person, features a selection of classic grill favorites, including hotdogs and hamburgers served with brioche and regular buns; a variety of toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles; and condiments such as ketchup, mustard and burger sauce.

The meal is complemented by side dishes such as potato salad; a fresh salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers; seasonal fruit cups; chips; and cookies. Guests can freshly grill their selections aboard the boat and vegetarian and vegan options can also be requested for an additional charge.

Alternatively, the box lunch menu, available for $32 per person, includes freshly made sandwiches with turkey breast, ham and cheese or a vegan chickpea salad wrap. Each box also contains chips, a fruit cup, a cookie and a drink, with a vegan cookie provided with the chickpea wrap.

After visitors arrive at their marina of choice, they’ll receive orientation on how to pilot the boats. LMMA’s staff then helps guests navigate out of the marina and onto the open lake. Once there, guests can pilot the boat across the water and enjoy the ruggedly beautiful landscape. If the designated captain of the boat is born before Jan. 1, 1983, they will need to attend a brief safety orientation upon arrival. If born after, the captain will need to present a Boater Education Card ($45) upon arrival. Information about the card can be found here. For an additional fee, groups of up to 11 guests can also hire a LMMA captain to pilot their boat for a truly relaxed experience.

“‘Secret Season’ is the best time of the year to experience our party boat offer at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave,” said Chad Taylor, director of marketing and guest experience, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “Kids are back in school, the summer tourists are gone, the weather begins to cool down but the water is still warm through the end of October. It’s the best kept recreational secret in Southern Nevada.”

LMMA’s shuttles pick up guests on the Strip between 8 and 9 a.m. and return back to Las Vegas between 4 and 5 p.m. The party boat offer, including a patio pontoon rental and round-trip transportation for up to 12 guests, starting at $1,399 at Callville Bay Marina. Fuel, tax, refundable deposit and gratuity are not included.

For an additional fee, groups of up to 11 guests can also hire a captain, who works independently from LMMA, to pilot their boat for a truly relaxed experience. Guests may inquire when they make reservations.  For more information and reservations, visit callvillebay.com.

New York-New York launched a $63 million room remodel project this week of its 1,830 rooms and 155 of its suites. When completed in the summer of 2023, the accommodations will feature vibrant new designs and upgraded in-room amenities that will appeal to travelers from around the world.

Crafted by hospitality design firm HVS Design in partnership with MGM Resorts International Design Group, the design aesthetic draws inspiration from the energy and excitement of two of the world’s great cities — Las Vegas and New York City.

The remodel features design details that harken to New York City, such as rooms with exposed faux brick walls and accent colors such as Big Apple Red and Taxicab Yellow. These elements subtly bring the ‘City that Never Sleeps’ to life in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Reflecting a thoughtful use of space, rooms will incorporate modern conveniences such as moveable work surfaces, readily available USB/USB-C power outlets and additional shelving and closet space.

“It’s an exciting time at New York-New York. We recently launched Cirque du Soleil’s Mad Apple show to tremendous feedback from our guests.” said Michael Neubecker, the resort’s President & COO. “To embark on a remodel of our rooms and suites is the next step in keeping the resort fresh and giving guests new reasons to visit. Whether coming for business or pleasure, guests will find our new rooms offer a stylish and modern respite as they enjoy the excitement of Las Vegas.”

Christine Shanahan, Principal at HVS Design, said, “As we envisioned our design for this project, we incorporated that New York City vibe and twisted it with bold colors and pops of energy to blend with Las Vegas, stressing functionality as a key factor. Guests will experience the feel of a loft apartment with convenient touchpoints and amenities designed to make them feel right at home.”

Completion of all guest rooms and Spa, Marquis and Players suites is scheduled for summer 2023 with the first collection of standard and premier rooms available for guest stays in late October 2022.

The room remodel is the next phase of a resort transformation that includes the recently launched “Mad Apple”; the refurbished and rebranded Big Apple Coaster with new trains for a smoother ride; and the revamped Big Apple Arcade with updated games and the latest RFID technology. More enhancements to the property will be announced in the coming months.
